She was on the verge of losing her job She had spent so much of her money on prescriptions drugs that she was filing for bankruptcy. Like so many others, Brandy initially thought the medications were helping her. " I started taking pain meds because I had chronic back pain. I was given prescription drugs to ease the pain. However, as I started having personal problems I thought the drugs were helping me and I started taking more and more of them and added Xanax to the list. I always got these drugs legally I would get them from doctors - I had two primary care physicians or I would go to the emergency room if I ran out early. I slept so much I never really had time for my children.
